Misguided drug laws and draconian sentencing have produced profoundly unequal outcomes for communities of color. Disparities in arrests and incarceration are seen for both drug possession law violations as well as low-level sales. This unequal enforcement ignores the universality of drug dependency, as well as the universal appeal of drugs themselves. A portion of sales from the ‘misguided collection’ will go to Last Prisoner Project. We believe that anyone freely engaging in drug use, or individuals that aren’t targeted for their drug use, legal or not, have a moral imperative to work towards restorative justice. No one should remain incarcerated or continue to suffer from a War on Drugs that disproportionately impacts communities of color.
